I believe there are few things in this world more precious than new life, and I am so honored and thrilled to have begun this work. Assisting families as they go through the miraculous transition to parenthood is something I’m absolutely passionate about! Very few people will ever be witness to this transformative experience as a support person and I am thrilled to be among them. It is my sincere desire that the women I support as their birth or bereavement doula & childbirth educator will experience empowered, peaceful, wonder-filled births, walking away with a new-found confidence in themselves and what they are capable of. Through my work as a certified GentleBirth childbirth education instructor, I am able to pair evidence based knowledge with the foundations of childbirth ed so parents go into their births prepared and confident.
To make sure I am the best possible support to you during your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum I have completed well over 400 hours of education in this field and am a Certified Birth & Bereavement Doula (StillBirthday), and Certified Childbirth Educator (GentleBirth). I am up to date on CPR, Blood Born Pathogens, and Psychological First Aid certifications. I am trained and familiar in the proper use of Spinning Babies, peanut balls as a peanut ball ambassador (Premier Birth Tools), and rebozo (Gena Kirby University) during labor as well.
As a mom myself, I have personally experienced natural hospital birth, pregnancy loss, and a premature infant (as well as the breastfeeding challenges presented with each of these unique circumstances.) I live currently in Owings Mills, MD with my husband, our two beautiful earthside children, and one very spoiled Morkie. I enjoy clean eating, coffee, travel, the arts, and babywearing. I am passionate about all things birth and cannot wait to meet you! Let’s start writing your empowered, supported birth story today.
